inkpop announces Eternity Challenge

Melissa Marr’s Fragile Eternity inspires the teen-lit site’s 10th writing contest

Have you thought about eternity? As in, what happens for ever and ever … and ever? It’s hard to wrap your head around, right?

What do you want to last for all eternity? Do you have a story about an immortal character who never dies? … Or does the idea of ever-lasting freak you out?

These are the questions that inkpop asks writers to answer (or at least think about) for its 10th writing contest, the inkpop Eternity Challenge. Inspired by Melissa Marr’s Fragile Eternity, inkpoppers are challenged to write a story, essay, or poem that involves foreverness in the most interesting or magical way possible.

Launched March 19, writers have until March 28 at noon to submit their projects. Four winners will be randomly selected to win a copy of Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr, in addition to two HarperTeen books of their choice. Winners will be announced on the inkpop blog ( and here on inkpop Forums.
