inkpop member rainbowbug432 finds out why Tangled features a four-way split

inkpop, the teen community site for aspiring writers, wrapped up the final week of the “Ask Carolyn Mackler Anything in the World” series, which invited inkpop site members to, well, ask the author anything (well, just about anything) they want.

Each week of April 2010, Mackler reviewed the questions posted in this inkpop Forums thread, selected her favorites, and answered the question. Four winners (one per week) won an autographed copy of Mackler’s latest novel, Tangled.

inkpopper rainbowbug432 won the fourth week of the series with this question:

What inspired you to split Tangled into four parts? I loved Jena and Owen. I laughed and smiled throughout Owen’s. But when I read Dakota’s and I read about his girlfriend who was killed, I cried. Great Job!

Read Carolyn Mackler’s answer to rainbowbug432’s question here on the inkpop Writers Community forum. Read. Write. Connect.
