★ Rowling to continue Harry Potter’s adventures? It has been over three years since J.K. Rowling penned Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh, and what was rumored to be the very last, book in the Harry Potter series; but not a day has gone by since that time where Rowling has forgotten the character, or been unable to continue creating new scenarios and adventures for him to encounter. During her Friday, October 1, 2010 sit-down with Oprah, the author stated that the so-called end of the series was a “bereavement” for her; then added “They’re all in my head still. I could definitely write an eighth, a ninth book. I think I am done, but you never know.” People.
★ ‘I Am Number Four’ trailer released! Though not scheduled to hit theaters until February 18, 2011; days ago a teaser trailer for the eagerly awaited film, an adaptation of Pittacus Lore’s novel of the same name, hit the World Wide Web. While the trailer is light on actual footage of the film, earning it the title teaser trailer, it provides enough to cause intrigue in the viewer, illustrating the murders of Number One, Two, and Three, before introducing you to Number Four and his plight for survival. Hollywood Crush.
★ New supernatural series courtesy of Rachel Bilson and Josh Schwartz Writer and producer Josh Schwartz has a history of creating gold with his small screen ideas, first with The O.C., then with Chuck, and the adaptation of Cecily von Ziegesar’s bestselling Gossip Girl series. Now Schwartz is taking over the supernatural world with actress (and The O.C. star) Rachel Bilson by his side via his newest project Ghost Angeles. Rumored to be a show about a young Los Angeles woman who can see and speak to ghosts, helping them to cross over to the other side; Ghost Angeles has already been scooped up by NBC, and will star Bilson as the main character. No word on when the show will debut. MTV.
Over to you…would you like to see J.K. Rowling continue Harry Potter’s tales, or would you prefer to see her write something completely different – why or why not? What do you think of the I Am Number Four teaser trailer? Does it make you eager to see the film once it officially hits theaters? Are you excited to see ghosts tossed into the supernatural mix – perhaps pushing vampires to the wayside?
