★ Official ‘Beastly’ movie trailer hits the web Though talk of Beastly has died down since its release date was pushed back a full eight months, the modern-day Beauty and the Beast re-telling starring Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Hudgens, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Neil Patrick Harris has once again resurfaced with a bang courtesy of the release of the Official Movie Trailer. The film, now set to hit theaters on March 18, 2011, is an adaptation of the Alex Flinn novel of the same title, which tells the tale of a rich, popular, arrogant high school student named Kyle whom is transformed into an ugly beast to teach him a lesson. ★ ‘Hunger Games’ casting pushed back to 2011 Though many were holding their breath, hoping to hear the name of the individual chosen to play Katniss Everdeen in the film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games before the holidays, producer Nina Jacobsen has issued a release stating that casting has been pushed back until 2011. “We have so many great young actors right now whose representatives are interested, or who are interested themselves,” she said. “It really comes down to finding that person who can capture the physicality, the vulnerability and the toughness. She’s a paradoxical character and you need somebody who has the range to capture all of those dimensions.” MTV.
