Who will play the ‘City of Bones’ Jace Wayland? Twenty-year-old actor Alex Pettyfer may soon be labeled the YA book-to-movie go-to guy. Already under his belt is starring roles in the film adaptations of Anthony Horowitz’s Stormbreaker (an Alex Rider novel), Pittacus Lore’s I Am Number Four, Alex Flinn’s Beastly, and now fans are petitioning for Pettyfer to play Jace Wayland in the big screen adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s bestselling City of Bones opposite Lily Collins (who has already signed on to play Clary Fray) – and they’re offering up some very convincing reasons to back up their proposal. Christopher Pike’s ‘Thirst’ to become big screen vampire saga! In the late 80s/early nineties, while R.L. Stine was penning Fear Street and Goosebumps, author Christopher Pike (aka Kevin McFadden) was hard at work writing similar YA thrillers ; though many of Stine’s work made it to the big (and small) screen, however, Pike’s pieces never made the transition…until now. FilmNation Entertainment recently purchased the rights to Pike’s The Last Vampire series, hoping to follow in Twilight’s footsteps by transforming it into the next big vampire saga. Vampires.

    I think Alex Pettyfer would be a great Jace! I even kind of pictured Jace like him when reading the Mortal Instruments…

    Gosh, I LOVE Alex Pettyfer 😀 Although, I must say he looks WAY better after a shave. He must play Jace! It would be so wicked if he played Peeta in the Hunger Games movie.
