★ Blake Lively to step into Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes for ‘The Carrie Diaries’ adaptation? We may all know and love Blake Lively as Serena van der Woodsen on The CW’s Gossip Girl; but rumor has it that studio execs are showing interest in adapting Candace Bushnell’s bestselling 2010 Sex and the City prequel, The Carrie Diaries – the sequel of which will hit bookstores in April 2011 – and Blake Lively is at the top of the list to step into the teenage Carrie Bradshaw’s shoes! “ While production is still solely in talks, writer-director-producer Michael Patrick King reportedly has his eye on ‘Gossip Girl’ star Blake Lively to play the signature fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker made into a female icon.” Hollywood Crush.
