Exclusive online series from Louise Rennison starring Georgia Nicolson and newcomer Tallulah Casey! World Book Day may have come and gone on March 3, 2011, but in its wake it left over a little something from Louise Rennison, the Queen of Teen Humor, and author of the bestselling Georgia Nicolson series, and the soon-to-be released Withering Tights (her latest comedic YA series starring Tallulah Casey)…an exclusive online series featuring ten separate installments entitled How to Make Any Twit Fall in Love with You which stars the lovable Georgia Nicolson and her off-the-wall cousin Tallulah. Read the exclusive series here; and if you can’t wait until June to learn more about Tallulah, read the first chapter of Withering Tights here. World Book Day.

More books from YA author Ally Carter on the way If there were any worries that Ally Carter’s wildly popular Gallagher Girls or Heist Society YA series would be put to rest, readers can rest assured…Carter has just signed contracts with Disney-Hyperion to bring additional titles to both series to bookstores – and soon! “The publisher acquired the second book in the ‘Heist Society’ series, ‘Uncommon Criminals’–it’s set for a June 21st release. The publisher also acquired the fifth, untitled book in Carter’s ‘Gallagher Girls’ series–it’s scheduled for a spring 2012 release.” Additionally, Heist Society has been optioned by Warner Brothers to be adapted into a feature film. GalleyCat.

‘Hush, Hush’ graphic novel in the works! Author Becca Fitzpatrick has wowed the YA world with her New York Times Bestselling Hush, Hush Saga, which includes the novel Hush, Hush, its sequel Crescendo, and the soon to be released Silence. But now readers can devour the first installment – Hush, Hush in an entirely different way…that of a graphic novel. On March 31, 2011, Sea Lion Books made the announcement that they had acquired the rights to, and would be releasing a graphic novel adaptation of Hush, Hush in October 2011. “‘Hush, Hush’ is the story of Nora Grey, a studious sixteen-year-old girl from Coldwater, Maine. It has been a year since her father’s murder and she is not interested in much other than her schoolwork. Then she meets Patch, a bad boy—and fallen angel. Though unwisely attracted to him, Nora finds herself caught in a battle between the fallen and the immortal. Choosing the wrong side could cost Nora her life.” Becca Fitzpatrick.

Over to you…are you a Louise Rennison fan? What do you think of Tallulah Casey? Will you be picking up a copy of Withering Tights when it is released in June? Are you excited to see additional titles added to the Gallagher Girls and Heist Society series? Will you be seeing Heist Society when it makes it to theaters? Are you a fan of the Hush, Hush Saga? Will you be buying the graphic novel when it hits bookstores? If you could see any book series transformed into a graphic novel series, which one would it be and why?

If you want romantic fallen angel fantasy, Unearthly is a much better choice than Hush, Hush. The later has a rather…disturbing view of what constitutes romance. (Abusive, nonsensical relationship, anyone?)

I actually like Hush Hush a lot better than Unearthly.

See, that was my only problem with the book. >_> If Nora and Patch hadn’t gotten together, it would’ve been perfect.

Mostly I just love Patch for being a psychotic villain but yeah. Relationship I don’t approve of, but fffffff I love this book for Patch.

Am I the only one excited for Louise Rennison’s new series? Georgie Nicolson is one of the funniest, if not THE funniest, girl narrator I’ve read.
